When to Book Your Senior Session | North Carolina Museum of Art | Raleigh, NC

When thinking about senior photos, timing is one of the most important pieces of the experience. Over the years, I’ve found that late spring through summer before senior year is the ideal time to schedule senior photos in Raleigh. Booking during this season allows for more flexibility, more relaxed pacing, and the opportunity to plan a session without the pressure that fall schedules often bring.

Location plays an equally important role. The North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) is one of my favorite locations for senior photos in Raleigh because of its balance of open space, natural light, and modern architecture. The variety within the outdoor park makes it possible to create a gallery that feels cohesive while still offering different backdrops, allowing the focus to remain on the senior rather than the setting.
